Mise en œuvre transfrontalière du Green Deal européen

Implementing Europe's Green Deal across borders

How EGTCs can fight climate change - Join this Friday online.

Climate change does not stop at borders. Therefore, European Groupings for Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) play a key role in reducing emissions and adapting to a changing climate. To identify common challenges for EGTCs, but also opportunities and best practices, EGTC Geopark Karawanken organises the conference Implementing Europe's Green Deal across borders which will take place on Friday, 30 June 2023, in hybrid format on the Petzen mountain massive from 9.00 am to 11.30 am.

After a brief presentation of the Geopark Karawanken's activities, several keynote speakers will shed light on the role of EGTC in combating climate change. Speakers include Pavel Branda, Member of the Committee of the Regions; Martin Guillermo Rodriquez, Secretary General of the Association of European Border Regions; Ervin Hukarevic, Member of the State Parliament of Carinthia, and representatives of the European Commission's DG REGIO and DG CLIMA.

The keynotes will be followed by a World Café session, in which various European Groupings for Territorial Cooperation will present their work, particularly focusing on climate change-related projects.
